Mastering Canyon Clash in Last Z: Survival Shooter

Canyon Clash stands as a crucial weekly alliance event in Last Z, testing your team's tactical prowess and coordination. This guide will arm you with the knowledge to conquer the battlefield, secure vital objectives, and maximize your alliance's point gain.

Canyon Clash Fundamentals

This event occurs weekly, following the Capital Clash. It pits two alliances against each other in a fierce point-based competition. Points are accumulated by:

  • Capturing and holding structures
  • Neutralizing enemy units
  • Securing Energy Cells
  • Defeating the Canyon Captain boss for powerful buffs

Event Schedule and Eligibility

Participation in Canyon Clash follows a specific weekly rhythm:

  • Voting: Monday and Tuesday
  • Registration: Wednesday
  • Matchmaking: Thursday
  • Combat Day: Friday

Your alliance must meet certain criteria to join:

  • Alliance Rank: Must be among the top 20 by power.
  • Alliance Size: A minimum of 40 members is required.
  • Player Tenure: Individual players must have been in the alliance for at least 24 hours.

Registration is handled by an Alliance Leader or an R4 officer. A minimum of 15 members must sign up. Matchmaking is determined by the combined power of the top 30 members.

Team 2 Registration: Opens two weeks after Canyon Clash begins, requiring alliances to have at least 60 active members. Furthermore, 20 survivors must have achieved over 2,000 points in a prior Canyon Clash battle.

Battle Structure

Each Canyon Clash session spans one hour, divided into three distinct phases:

  • Preparation Phase: 10 minutes (Starters enter)
  • Combat Phase: 40 minutes (Objective capture and fighting)
  • Settlement Phase: 10 minutes (Rewards and post-battle calculations)

Roles and Entry

  • Starters: Up to 20 members, selected by R4/R5, can enter during the preparation phase.
  • Substitutes: Up to 20 members, entering at combat start if starters are absent.
  • Commanders: Up to 2 chosen from starters or substitutes to lead groups. R4/R5 can assign or change Commanders; after the battlefield opens, changes must occur inside the battle zone.

Each member can participate in only one role. Members offline for over 5 days are ineligible. Always recall all troops to your Headquarters before entering. Inside the battlefield, free teleports are available every 3 minutes, even without recalling troops first.

Battlefield Layout and Key Objectives

Mastering the map is essential for success. The Energy Station sits centrally. A Canyon Captain spawns in the upper-right area. Two Military Bases are located in the lower-left. Alliance Beacons each have an adjacent Field Hospital, while Water Refineries are also strategically placed.

Phases and Spawns

  • Preparation: Starters deploy and prepare for combat.
  • Combat: Focus on capturing structures and fulfilling objectives.
  • Canyon Captain: Boss spawns around minutes 5, 15, and 25.
  • Energy Station: Becomes accessible at the 20-minute mark for collecting Energy Cells.

Strategic Objectives and Points

Points are earned for both your alliance and individual players. Capturing and holding structures are key to rapid scoring.

  • Military Bases: First capture grants 2,700 alliance points, then 1,800 points per minute while held. Provides +30% battlefield damage and 5% damage reduction.
  • Field Hospitals: Initial capture awards 1,800 alliance points, then 1,200 points per minute. Boosts battlefield healing speed by 50% and reduces healing cost by 5%.
  • Water Refineries: First capture yields 900 alliance points, then 600 points per minute.
  • Quarry: Gathering here provides 300 alliance points and 900 personal points per minute.
  • Energy Station: Opens at minute 20. Delivering an Energy Cell to your Alliance Beacon is worth 100,000 alliance points and 10,000 personal points.
  • Canyon Captain: The alliance inflicting the most damage earns buffs: 50% faster building capture, +50% alliance point generation, and +40% battlefield damage.

Alliance Coordination

Effective communication and pre-assigned roles are paramount. Coordinate building capture teams and designate Energy Cell carriers with escorts before combat. Everyone's participation is crucial for victory.

Beyond alliance scores, individual actions also contribute to your personal point tally:
