Last Z: Survival Shooter Season 2 Winter Guide: Upgrades, Farming, and Events

Updated October 12, 2026

Build Your Winter Economy First

Season 2 Winter, also called Everfrost, rewards a focused opening. In Last Z: Survival Shooter, your first priority should be establishing Ice Bloom income and raising Virus Resistance—not spreading resources evenly across every new structure.

Use Smart Greenhouses to supply Ice Blooms, then direct those resources into Bio Lab progression. Keep enough Frost Cores reserved for your next resistance milestone before funding optional combat upgrades.

Winter also wipes previous captured-city ownership. Your alliance needs a new route across the map, so confirm its plans before relocating or launching attacks.

Older references to Season 2 as Desert describe an earlier version. Winter is the current seasonal name.

Choose Upgrades Around Your Next Farming Unlock

A useful upgrade is one that gets you closer to the targets you need to farm. That makes Bio Lab milestones more important than maintaining matching building levels.

Current objectiveRecommended investmentReason
Establish your seasonal economySmart Greenhouses, followed by sustained Bio Lab developmentProduction supports the lab, which increases Virus Resistance
Cover a modest Ice Bloom shortageLet production accumulate unless a Greenhouse upgrade pays for itself in timeA slow return can postpone your intended lab upgrade
Farm level 60 Frostbanes before changing to CombatBio Lab 26This is the relevant pre-Combat checkpoint
Retain level 60 Frostbane access when changing to CombatBio Lab 28 before the switchLevel 26 alone is insufficient after the change
Strengthen seasonal combat after securing farming accessCommand Post, with cost comparisons against Icy Arsenal and Icy FortCheaper alternatives may offer better value when the next Command Post upgrade is unusually costly

Try to avoid leaving the Bio Lab inactive because its materials went into a less urgent building. For a Greenhouse upgrade, judge the additional output against its cost and your deadline—not simply whether more production sounds useful.

Protect Ice Blooms and Frost Cores

These two materials control much of your Winter progression:

  • Ice Blooms: Smart Greenhouses generate them for seasonal construction and upgrades.
  • Frost Cores: Seasonal enemies, including Frostbanes, Snow Leopards, and Yetis, provide them for important upgrades.

Set aside the full resource budget for your intended Bio Lab checkpoint. Players preparing a Support-to-Combat transition should plan around level 28 rather than assuming level 26 will preserve their farming access.

This restraint matters especially for free-to-play and low-spending accounts. Immediate combat stats can be tempting, but postponing resistance may also postpone more productive farming.

Pick Seasonal Targets With Purpose

Fuel and restricted attempts are worth planning around. A newly visible enemy is not automatically your best use of either.

TargetMain appealPractical approach
FrostbanesFrost Cores and seasonal advancementUsually give these priority when resources or attempts are tight
Snow LeopardsFirst-clear benefits and seasonal farming rewardsMatch target difficulty to your resistance instead of forcing inefficient clears
YetisValuable rewards with limited attemptsJoin coordinated rallies and make use of your daily opportunities

Alliance instructions should take precedence over an improvised solo routine. If a higher-level Snow Leopard is beyond a sensible clear, improve production and resistance before trying again.

Separate Personal Glory From Glory War

Personal Glory has a 73,200-point ceiling. Defeating seasonal enemies early helps increase the rewards offered by your Glory Chest.

A chest is available on an 8-hour cycle. Collect it when ready, and continue improving Personal Glory until you reach the cap.

Do not confuse that total with Glory War's 2.4 million personal-point reward objective. They are different counters and need separate tracking.

Add Combat Buildings After Resistance Is Secure

Once your economy supports the farming tier you want, combat structures become more worthwhile for rallies, contested cities, Glory War, and seasonal PvP.

BuildingSeasonal benefit
Command PostSeason Troop DMG
Icy ArsenalSeason Troop ATK
Icy FortSeason Troop DEF

Favor Command Post development, but compare the next upgrade's price with available Arsenal and Fort levels. A disproportionately expensive Command Post level is a reason to evaluate alternatives, not to abandon your budget.

Review Mastery Hall Before Major Spending

Mastery Hall supplies seasonal abilities and bonuses. Check it before committing resources elsewhere: a useful economic benefit, resistance-related choice, or alliance combat boost may matter more than another minor building upgrade.

Your Mastery plan also affects Bio Lab timing. Reach the appropriate resistance milestone before moving from Support to Combat, and evaluate reset decisions alongside your farming needs.

Treat production, resistance, and Mastery as connected parts of one plan rather than separate upgrade lists.

Prepare for the City Ownership Reset

Previously held cities do not retain their old ownership at the start of Winter. Before moving your base or attacking, confirm:

  • Which cities your alliance intends to pursue.
  • Who will lead rallies.
  • The applicable non-aggression pact rules.
  • When shields are expected.
  • Where less-developed accounts should position themselves.

Unplanned movement can cost troops or disrupt agreements. Keep shields and resources available while the new map positions are being established.

Frozen Rescue: Schedule, Claims, and Animal Rewards

Frozen Rescue usually takes place Monday through Wednesday, with multiple Cold Snap periods during those days.

During an active Cold Snap:

  • Zoom out to locate frozen structures within the dark-blue portion of the map.
  • Dispatch a scout.
  • Select Seek Help so alliance members can reduce the thawing time.
  • Wait for the animal to appear, then decide whether to claim it.
  • Finish the claim before that Cold Snap ends.

You may claim 10 animals daily. The rescue allowance is consumed when you claim an animal, so choose according to the reward you need.

AnimalRewardWhen to choose it
Deer / Stag300 BadgesA strong default for most accounts
MammothExclusive equipment fragmentsWhen equipment advancement outweighs your need for Badges
Pig / BoarDiamondsWhen Diamonds are your priority
FoxOrange Skill BooksWhen skill development is more urgent

Choosing 10 Badge-bearing animals on each of the event's three days yields as much as 9,000 Badges weekly. Share promising map coordinates with alliance members to help them find useful rescues.

Snowman Mania and Zazz Snowman Progress

Snowman Mania awards Snowballs through event objectives and snow-clearing assistance. Frostbanes and Snow Leopards also drop Snowflakes used for event Snowman progress.

Collect decoration rewards as they unlock, and check the Fish Index for additional decoration materials. Crucially, the event Snowman and the Zazz Snowman decoration have independent level tracks.

A documented Server 403 example from September 2026 finished the available event reward collection with the decoration at Lv.4, without a mid-season reset. That result should not be read as a promise that every account can reach Lv.5 through Winter events alone.

Decoration milestoneEffect or requirement
Lv.4+20% Troop ATK and +20% Troop DEF
Lv.5 upgradeAdds 10 percentage points to both bonuses
Fragment-only route to Lv.5Requires 54 pieces
Documented account's supply24 pieces, leaving 30 still needed

Also keep an eye on Arctic Fishing objectives, Ice Pit contests, and Fish Index claims. These rewards deserve attention alongside your building and creature routine.

Get Ready Before Winter Begins

A little preparation can prevent avoidable delays at launch:

  • Create a needed farm account early. Same-server account creation may face restrictions once Season 2 begins.
  • Free your builders near launch. Avoid tying them up with lengthy, low-priority work when seasonal buildings become available.
  • Hold flexible speed-ups. Early construction is quick, but later timing can still determine whether your Bio Lab keeps progressing.
  • Time hero spending around events. Save Prime Recruitment Tickets, hero fragments, Power Cores, Enhancement Alloys, and skill books for suitable reward windows.
  • Request the new city route. Previous ownership and rally paths are not a reliable launch plan.
  • Stock shields. Increased map activity creates more opportunities for costly mistakes.

What Survives the End of Season 2?

Winter's temporary buildings and their bonuses are removed when the season finishes. Any unspent Ice Blooms or Frost Cores expire as well; they are not supplies for the next season.

Mastery is the exception among these seasonal systems: Mastery Hall level and Mastery Points persist, while selected skills reset. Ordinary account development is not erased by the seasonal transition.

Before the closing timers expire:

  • Collect all earned seasonal rewards.
  • Activate outstanding Fish Index entries.
  • Claim available Snowman rewards.
  • Use remaining seasonal materials on objectives that still provide value during Winter.
  • Check the applicable end-of-season recycling rules for fishing passes and buckets.

The following season is Season 3: Dinosaur Origin. Plan its building materials, companion feed, and shop currency separately rather than expecting Winter resources to transfer.

Quick Tips

  • Establish Smart Greenhouse production, then keep the Bio Lab advancing.
  • Budget for Bio Lab 26 to access level 60 Frostbanes before Combat; reach 28 before changing Mastery to retain access.
  • Spend scarce farming opportunities deliberately, generally favoring Frostbanes while respecting alliance target orders.
  • Collect Glory Chests on their 8-hour availability cycle.
  • Pick Deer or Stag rescues for a dependable 300 Badges per claim.
  • Track event Snowman progress separately from your Zazz Snowman decoration.
  • Follow the new alliance city route instead of relying on last season's map.
  • Claim rewards and spend useful Winter materials before they expire.
