Aniimo Progression Guide: Master Your First Week & Beyond

Updated October 12, 2026

Welcome, new Aniimo trainer! This guide is designed to equip you with the knowledge to navigate the world of Aniimo efficiently, avoiding common pitfalls and maximizing your progress. We'll cover early game decisions, essential daily activities, and how to make the most of your Aniimo's potential.

Smart Spending & Key Decisions

Aniimo offers many avenues for growth, but some choices are more impactful and permanent than others. Plan ahead to ensure your resources are spent wisely.

Preserve Premium Aniipods

Ultra and Sparkling Aniipods are rare and valuable. Avoid using them carelessly, especially in the early game. These should be reserved for the Aniimo you intend to keep and power up long-term, not for temporary objectives or farming materials.

Understand Permanent Upgrades

While some systems offer refunds or transfers, others are more set in stone. Knowing which upgrades are permanent or costly to change helps you make informed decisions.

SystemEffectRefund/Transfer Notes
Innate PotentialAffects base stats (up to 20 IVs)Refundable below Level 60. Transfers within species family.
ResonanceProvides extra raw statsNot refundable.
Capability FruitBoosts two main potentials by +1/+1Transfers within species family.
Prismatic StoneEnhances core skillTreat this as permanent; very difficult to alter.
Psyche FruitRerolls personalityNot transferable.
CosmeticsVisual changes (e.g., Sparkling Mark)Varies; some may be permanent once applied.

Don't Rush Glimmer Usage

Glimmer, a key resource, is best saved for later-game needs. Early on, you might be tempted to spend it on minor conveniences, but its value increases significantly as you encounter more challenging content and need specific items or upgrades.

Daily Merchant Visits

The daily merchant often carries essential items, rare resources, or even discount opportunities. Make it a habit to check their stock every day to snap up valuable offerings.

Essential Tips for Every Trainer

These general strategies will improve your quality of life and efficiency throughout your Aniimo journey.

  • Keep One of Every Aniimo: Maintain at least one copy of each Aniimo, including all evolution stages and forms. Many quests, exploration challenges, and future content may require specific Aniimo. Storage is generous, so this saves a lot of backtracking.
  • Prioritize Pathfinder Exams: Your level progression and access to new content are gated by Pathfinder Rank. Complete these exams as soon as they become available. They increase your maximum trainer and Aniimo levels, unlock crucial features like the Holo-Battle Sim, and raise the world level, leading to better wild Aniimo encounters and rewards.
  • Attend Daily Tea Time: Astra's Star-Crossed Tea Party is a quick daily activity that grants battle pass experience and town currency. Rarely, an interaction during tea time can permanently boost an Aniimo's actual stats, not just their potential, making it a valuable daily habit.
  • Alpha Farming Efficiency: When farming Alpha Aniimo for materials and equipment, you don't need to catch them. Drops are secured simply by defeating them with Primegy. Save your premium Aniipods for capturing specific, powerful Alphas you intend to add to your roster.

Understanding Aniimo Potential

An Aniimo's strength is a combination of several factors, but its innate potential is unique to each individual. Optimizing potential is crucial for maxing out your strongest allies.

Out of all the factors influencing an Aniimo's power, only its innate potential (IVs) varies between different copies of the same species. A lower innate potential requires more resources to reach its maximum possible stats.

Balanced Potentials Over Highest Single Stat

While a high stat might seem appealing, a balanced distribution of potentials is often more efficient. Filling in missing potential levels requires Star Essence, which can be a scarce resource, especially in the early game. An Aniimo with more evenly distributed, moderate potentials might be less costly to max out than one with one very high stat and several very low ones.

Optimizing Your First Week

Your initial days are critical for setting up long-term progress. Focus on unlocking key daily and weekly activities before the server reset.

Day One Goals: Unlock Dailies

  1. Reach Level 20 for RV/Homeland: Your RV (Recreational Vehicle) or Homeland building progresses in real-world time. Starting it early ensures you begin accumulating benefits, such as elemental daily buffs for your Aniimo (up to 7% damage/resist per element).
  2. Collect 30 Lumin Amber for Nurturing: Nurturing features free charges that regenerate over time. Unlock this system promptly to avoid wasting any regeneration cycles.
  3. Initiate Inferlupa Evolution Quest: If you plan to evolve an Inferlupa, start its evolution quest early. It featured a 3-day timegate in beta, so beginning it sooner prevents unnecessary delays later on.

Week One Goals: Unlock Weeklies

  1. Clear Holo-Battle Sim (Level 40 Exam): This unlocks weekly rewards based on your performance. Aim to clear the advanced tiers (up to 6 times) by the end of your first week to maximize rewards for the following week.
  2. Collect 90 Lumin Amber for Weekly Wonder Egg: Gathering 90 Lumin Amber allows you to claim a weekly Wonder Egg, which guarantees either an Alpha or Sparkling Aniimo. This egg is located at the top of the giant plant in Breezy Plains.
  3. Unlock Star Essence Exchange: Progress through the main story to unlock weekly encounters with three Omega Aniimo. Defeating each one provides Star Essence, a crucial resource for Aniimo development.

Quick Tips

  • Save Glimmer: Don't spend premium currency early.
  • Pathfinder First: Always clear Pathfinder exams immediately.
  • Daily Tea Party: Attend for potential permanent stat boosts.
  • Keep All Aniimo: Collect at least one of every type and evolution.
  • Check Merchant: Visit the daily merchant for valuable items.
