Anchor Panic: World Lore & Gameplay Features Explained

Updated October 12, 2026

Welcome, new Operator, to the comprehensive guide for Anchor Panic! This guide will illuminate the crucial aspects of Taino Star's lore and provide an in-depth look at the diverse features you'll encounter on your journey to protect humanity.

The World of Taino Star

A Century of Conflict and Recovery The planet humanity calls home, Taino Star, is still recovering from a devastating interdimensional conflict known as the Shogger War, which occurred a hundred years ago. Despite the scars, civilization has begun to rebuild.

Stellar Crystals Scattered across Taino Star are enigmatic, self-growing minerals called Stellar Crystals. These crystals, named for their star-like reflections, possess the ability to manifest supernatural phenomena, defying known scientific principles, often linked to the user's mental will.

Skyborne Barriers & Eternal Night To defend against further invasions, 7,200 artificial satellites form an array known as the Skyborne Barriers in geosynchronous orbit. These barriers cloak Taino Star's cosmic coordinates dimensionally, preventing precise Shogger incursions. They are managed by 18 main ground bases and 72 auxiliary bases. A side effect of these barriers is a global state of "Eternal Night" – Taino Star no longer experiences daylight, existing perpetually in twilight.

The Shogger Threat The Shogger are extraterrestrial cosmic entities, largely unknown to Taino's inhabitants. They exhibit various tribal forms and share a collective consciousness via a network. Their societal structure resembles that of an ant colony.

Void Particles & Contamination Void Particles appear as dark, dispersing particles or smoke. Exposure to sufficient concentrations contaminates living organisms, transforming them into Mutants in an almost irreversible process. "Contamination" itself refers to this abnormal transformation, frequently linked to Stellar Crystal incidents. Minor contamination can be managed, but exceeding a critical threshold results in an irreversible, explosive distortion of the life form.

Anchor Space & Void Expanse Anchor Space is the interdimensional conduit through which the Shogger invade Taino Star. It is saturated with Void Particles, and only crystal-related energies can effectively target entities within it. A Void Expanse denotes an area heavily corrupted by contamination. These zones emerge with new Anchor passages and large-scale Shogger invasions. Prolonged contamination reshapes the environment, covering surfaces with dark crystals and rendering Void Particle concentrations too high for normal humans.

Mutants & Coordinators Life forms mutated by contamination are generally called Mutants. They are typically unintelligent, aggressive, and drawn to sound and light. Mutants seem to possess an evolutionary path, with higher-tier forms exhibiting bizarre appearances and abilities akin to Operators. A unique class of Mutants, dubbed "Coordinators," has emerged recently, with major powers attempting to suppress knowledge of their existence.

Leistance Security Bureau & Star Council During the Shogger War, the Star Council established the Leistance Security Bureau as a borderless organization. Leistance specializes in handling Shogger and related incidents. The Star Council is Leistance's overarching authority, coordinating global resources and forces to combat the Shogger threat.

Operators, Linkers & Crystal Weapons Operators (AIMBS) are superhumans, genetically enhanced with special powers and increased resistance to Shogger. They are the new generation of warriors capable of surviving within Anchor Space. Linkers are special combat units from Leistance, acting as psychological anchors for Operators. They absorb the side effects of an Operator's abilities, significantly boosting their combat effectiveness. Crystal Weapons are the specialized armor used by Operators, customized to complement their unique abilities.

Special Unlockables

Core Gameplay Features

Daily Engagement

  • Missions: Divided into Daily Missions and Weekly Missions. Daily Missions refresh at 5 AM daily; Weekly Missions reset at 5 AM every Monday. Completing Daily Missions earns Activity Points, unlocking Tiered Rewards at specific thresholds.
  • Biography: Provides 4 daily challenge attempts to gather information on your favorite Operators.

Combat & Challenges

  • Arena: Seasons last 30 days. Points reset at the end of each season, and Settlement Rewards are distributed via in-game mail. Daily rewards are sent at 5:00 AM based on your current rank. Your defensive lineup initially mirrors your attack team but can be customized. Earn points by defeating other Linkers. You get 3 free challenges daily; additional attempts require Arena Tickets.
  • Apostles' War: Displays reward reset times and allows direct access to the store for redemption. You can switch between different Bosses to challenge. Conditions for earning stars, Abyssal Resonance effects, and locked Operators (who can only challenge that specific Boss in the current cycle) are shown. Tutorial challenges do not consume attempts or lock Operators. Difficulty can be adjusted.
  • Union Boss: Shows event start/end times and allows viewing ranking rewards. Progress through Boss rounds; Boss attributes increase with each completed round. Daily challenge attempts reset at 5 AM. You can view Union members' battle records.
  • Boundless City: Features 3 war zones, each with 3 districts. Your disturbance index changes with the overall player level. Promotion requires meeting minimum point standards and being in the top 10 of your district's ranking.
  • Sweep Challenge: Once a difficulty is selected for the week, it cannot be changed. Difficulties beyond level 4 unlock after clearing the preceding one. HP bonuses from different stages can only be claimed once weekly. Challenge attempts increase daily at 5 AM and reset to 1 on Monday at 5 AM.
  • Disaster Challenge: Displays all difficulties. Completing one unlocks the next. Tracks total accumulated damage across all difficulties, unlocking rewards at certain thresholds. Daily attempts reset at 5 AM. The highest difficulty offers infinite challenges, with the top attempt's accumulated damage recorded (Boss HP resets per battle).
  • Land Clash: View Union's past match records. Outside event times, check facility deployment; during the event, monitor facility damage. Set up two defense teams before the event starts (locked once active). Two attack teams can be adjusted freely. Victory conditions for facility damage are 2 wins or 1 win and 1 draw (120 damage, 120 Processing Power). Defeat (2 losses or 1 loss and 1 draw) and Draw (2 draws or 1 win and 1 loss) yield 60 damage and 60 Processing Power. Energy Hubs can only be attacked when any Energy Base is ≤50% HP. Destroying facilities grants bonus Processing Power (Energy Hub: 3000; Energy Base: 1200; Energy Pylon: 300). Land Sentinels are purely defensive units and can be auto-deployed.

Base Management

The Base is your operational hub, where you construct and upgrade facilities. Here's a breakdown of its key components:

  • Construction & Upgrades: Requires production robots and Titanium Materials. Robots can speed up resource production and recharge over time. Total electrical power consumption by buildings cannot exceed total power provided.
  • Titanium Materials: Produced by Refine factories, crucial for building and upgrades. Production halts if the depot is full.
  • Electric Power: Track consumed versus provided power. Power Model charging robots are produced hourly; Operators with relevant Base skills can accelerate this.
  • Operator Stationing: An overview interface allows quick viewing and editing of Operator assignments to various buildings.
  • Building Mode: Tap to construct and upgrade structures.
  • Dispatch: Parameters related to dispatches are shown. Operators with Dispatch Dock skills reduce recovery time for attempts.
  • Operation EXP Report: Produced by Tutorial Models. Production halts if the depot is full. Operators with relevant Base skills can reduce processing time.
  • Processing Materials: Displays production progress. The plus sign allows material selection. Operators with Production Line skills reduce processing time for different materials. Tap to switch material production tabs; upgrading lines unlocks more categories.
  • Dormitory: Increases Operator fatigue recovery rate with higher comfort levels. Arrange furniture to boost comfort; upgrading dorm levels increases the comfort cap. Operators with dorm-related Base skills reduce fatigue recovery time.
  • Heart of Flame: Operators with skills related to the Heart of Flame can enhance the production efficiency of other facilities.

Character Enhancement

  • Model Remodel: Only SSR quality Models can be remodeled, consuming Models of the same set type.
  • Sigil Refine: Consume identical Sigils to increase their Refine level.
