Kingshot Finder's Fortune Map Guide
Updated October 12, 2026
Finder’s Fortune is Kingshot’s hidden-object challenge, where knowing the scenery matters more than tapping quickly. Buttery Bones let you enter stages, while successful clears award Finder Points. The most useful preparation is learning the smallest objects: their locations stay fixed, so every remembered hiding place makes later attempts easier.
Stage Rules and Scoring
During a stage, you receive three item requests at once. Tap a requested object, and another request takes its place. Your goal is to finish the entire list within the time limit.
Each object contributes 80 Finder Points, but you receive that score only after completing the stage. If time expires and the attempt remains unfinished, the objects already located award no points.
That makes reliable completion more valuable than frantic tapping. Finding nearly everything still produces no score unless you secure the clear.
Two progression counters appear in this event:
| Counter | Purpose | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Finder Points | Measures your event score | Grants 80 per object after a successful clear |
| Finder XP | Advances the reward track | Can receive bonuses from paid tracks |
Paid Finder XP boosts do not increase the 80-point value of an object.
Map Overview
Finder’s Fortune uses three maps, each with a fixed collection of object locations.
| Map | First appearance | Total items |
|---|---|---|
| Forest Camp | Tutorial | 30 |
| Village Square | Chapter 1 | 50 |
| Lumber Yard | Chapter 2 | 50 |
A stage uses only part of its map’s item collection. An object might not be requested every time, but whenever it appears, its position stays unchanged.
For example, Village Square’s Lamp remains attached to the left-hand house across attempts. Remembering that landmark is more useful than searching the entire scene again.
Large targets such as the Hot Air Balloon, Chimney, and Lumber Yard’s Horse are generally easier to recognize. Spend most of your preparation on tiny objects that blend into paths, fences, walls, and decorations.
Forest Camp: Small-Item Locations
The tutorial map contains 30 items. Use it to practice matching item names to landmarks rather than repeatedly scanning every corner.
| Item | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Dagger | Check the opening of the tent; it lies in the entrance. |
| Grilled Skewer | Look for an upright skewer against the campfire ring. |
| Brush | Inspect the trunk of the tree along the far-left boundary. |
| Pinecone | Search the sandy trail immediately beneath the campfire. |
Treat the campfire as a central reference point. It helps you separate the Grilled Skewer at the ring from the Pinecone on the path below. The Dagger and Brush belong to different landmarks, making them easier to memorize as separate visual cues.
Village Square: Fountain and House Targets
Village Square expands the collection to 50 items. Several troublesome objects sit around the fountain, so learn their positions relative to that structure.
| Item | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Pouch | Search beside the stone arch on the ground, to the fountain’s left. |
| Starfish | Inspect the fountain’s right-hand stone ledge near the steps. |
| Rubber Duck | Look inside the fountain basin, where it floats. |
| Fish | Check the higher wall section of the timber house on the left. |
| Lamp | Look on the left-hand house. |
Avoid treating the fountain area as one vague search zone. The Pouch is outside it, the Starfish rests on its edge, and the Rubber Duck is in the water. Those distinctions let you move directly to the correct spot when a request appears.
For house-related calls, remember that the Fish is elevated rather than lying near the building’s base.
Lumber Yard: Paths, Fences, and Doorways
Lumber Yard also has 50 items. Its smaller targets are spread between the sawmill, cottage, and lower fence area.
| Item | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Beast Trap | Inspect the central dirt route just beyond the sawmill’s roof. |
| Bone | Check beside the wooden fence adjoining the sawmill deck. |
| Scarf | Look into the right-side cottage entrance; the scarf hangs there. |
| Bottle | Search the lower grassy area alongside the fence. |
The Bone and Bottle both use fences as landmarks, but they occupy different parts of the map. Associate the Bone with the sawmill deck and the Bottle with the grass near the bottom.
Keep the cottage doorway in mind for the Scarf. It is a hanging target, not something to search for along the ground.
Managing Buttery Bones and Focusbells
Buttery Bones are stage-entry resources. They do not transfer into a later event, and unclaimed ones are not included in the closing reward mail. Plan enough time to use your supply before the event finishes.
Preparation still matters. Review a map’s difficult objects before spending entries, rather than burning attempts while learning every location under pressure.
Focusbells extend an attempt after failure. Continuing adds time and includes one free Hint. You can purchase additional time repeatedly, but that does not make every stalled run worth saving.
| Situation | Suggested choice |
|---|---|
| Only one or two targets remain, with known locations | A Focusbell can secure the clear. |
| One unknown target is blocking completion | The included Hint may justify continuing. |
| Much of the request list remains | Usually stop rather than spend more. |
| Several missing objects have unfamiliar locations | Learn those positions before another attempt. |
Judge a continuation by whether the added time can realistically finish the stage. Extra seconds are useful when you have a clear next action; they are less helpful when you still need to search blindly.
Co-op and Paid Reward Tracks
Co-op allows players to tackle stages together. Assign search areas before beginning—for example, one player handles the left half while another covers the right. Share the locations of small targets promptly to reduce duplicated searching.
Treasure Guide and Trove Map provide additional rewards plus Finder XP bonuses. Their bonuses stack, but apply only to XP gained after unlocking them.
If you already intend to purchase, unlocking on day one provides more opportunity to benefit. A late purchase can still provide track rewards, but cannot retroactively boost earlier XP. Compare the contents with your usual purchases rather than buying solely for the bonus.
Finder Power Packs offer extra Buttery Bones. Consider those entries only after you can complete stages consistently.
Earned rewards left unclaimed are delivered through mail when the event closes. Remember that Buttery Bones are excluded.
Quick Tips
- Memorize small targets before spending entries on an unfamiliar map.
- Separate Finder Points from Finder XP when assessing rewards.
- Finish the full request list to collect the 80 points per object.
- Use landmarks to distinguish nearby hiding places.
- Reserve Focusbells for attempts with a realistic path to completion.
- Divide search coverage before starting co-op.
- Unlock paid tracks early only if their rewards suit your budget.
- Spend Buttery Bones before the event ends; closing mail will not preserve them.
