DEX, or Dexterity, is one of the four primary stats in MapleStory Classic World and the main damage stat for Bowmen. It also contributes to accuracy across every job, while other physical classes invest smaller amounts to help attacks connect or meet equipment requirements.

How Each Class Uses DEX
Bowman
Bowmen rely on DEX as their dominant damage stat. Both bows and crossbows benefit from it, making Dexterity a core part of the branch’s offensive development.
Warrior
Warriors use DEX primarily to improve accuracy. This matters when fighting monsters with high avoidability, where landing attacks becomes an important concern.
Thief
Thief sub-jobs use DEX for accuracy and weapon requirements. Assassins also gain damage from it as a secondary stat, so its role extends beyond simply helping attacks hit.
DEX and Related Stats
DEX works alongside LUK in accuracy calculations. Although LUK is associated with avoidability, it also participates in the accuracy formula; DEX remains the main primary-stat contributor to accuracy.
