MapleStory Classic Expression Guide
Updated October 21, 2026
Expressions in MapleStory Classic World let your character perform brief facial animations at the press of a key. They are purely cosmetic, and players sharing your map can see them.
Expressions vs. Faces
Your character’s face is its lasting facial appearance, chosen during creation or changed using a coupon. An expression briefly animates that existing face, then disappears as your character’s appearance returns to normal.
Expressions provide no stat changes or gameplay bonuses.
How to Get Expressions
The expressions listed here are permanent Cash Shop purchases. Monsters do not drop them, and NPC vendors do not stock them.
Permanent ownership does not mean the animation stays active: you keep the expression, but each use only plays briefly.
How to Use an Expression
- Bring up Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Drag your expression to an unused key slot.
- While in the game world, press the assigned key.
Your character will perform the animation and then return to its usual look.

These expressions are available as cash items:

Quick Tips
- Assign expressions to unused keys so they do not displace your regular controls.
- Buy an expression for a temporary animation; use a face coupon when you want a lasting facial change.
- Remember that nearby players on your map can see the animation.
- Look in the Cash Shop rather than farming monsters or checking NPC shops.
