MapleStory Classic Page Guide

Updated October 21, 2026

Page is a STR-driven Warrior advancement in MapleStory Classic World, built around swords, blunt weapons, and a preference for party utility. Available from level 30, it lets you choose between a shield-bearing setup and a two-handed weapon with greater attack.

Page suits players who want a melee Warrior with utility-oriented play and flexible equipment choices. Its weapon specialization is the key consideration when planning upgrades: focus on swords or blunt weapons rather than treating every Warrior weapon as an equally suitable choice.

How to Become a Page

Your character must already be a Warrior and have reached level 30 or above.

  1. Travel to Perion.
  2. Find Dances with Balrog at his pavilion to begin the advancement quest.
  3. Finish the Warrior second-job quest.
  4. Select Page when choosing your new class.

The other paths at this stage are Fighter and Spearman, so confirm your selection before committing.

Pre-launch progression limit: Classic World does not yet offer a third-job advancement.

Choosing Your Weapon Setup

Pages specialize in both one-handed and two-handed versions of swords and blunt weapons. Their equipment decision follows the same basic trade-off as Fighter.

SetupMain benefitMain limitation
One-handed weapon with a shieldKeeps the shield slot availableGives up the higher-attack two-handed approach
Two-handed weaponFavors greater attackCannot be paired with a shield

Neither setup removes the need to check equipment requirements. STR is your primary attribute, but many weapons also demand DEX.

For example, Gladius requires level 30, STR 65, and DEX 30, while War Hammer requires level 30, STR 60, and DEX 25. Reaching the required level alone does not guarantee that you can equip either weapon.

One-Handed Weapon Milestones

These options cover several equipment checkpoints after becoming a Page. The attack column shows each weapon’s listed W.Atk, not your character’s total damage.

WeaponTypeRequired levelRequired statsW.Atk
GladiusSword30STR 65, DEX 3047
War HammerBlunt weapon30STR 60, DEX 2549

Use these as upgrade checkpoints rather than a mandatory shopping list. Check the requirements of your intended replacement before spending resources on it.

Shields and Armor

Page uses Warrior plate armor. A one-handed build can also equip shields, giving you another slot to consider as your level and attributes increase.

Selected armor upgrades

The following examples show how requirements rise across different armor slots.

Weapon requirements can exceed those of armor at the same level. At level 30, for instance, Jousting Helmet needs STR 50, DEX 20, compared with STR 65, DEX 30 for Gladius—so plan around individual items rather than a single level-based target.

Quick Tips

  • Start the Page advancement in Perion once your Warrior reaches level 30.
  • Choose Page, not Fighter or Spearman, at the class-selection step.
  • Build around STR, while checking the DEX requirements of planned equipment.
  • Use a one-handed weapon if you want to retain a shield.
  • Consider a two-handed weapon when prioritizing greater attack over shield access.
  • Treat the progression details as pre-launch information; third-job advancement is not currently available.
